As always in times of crisis, it's clear that bosses, landlords and power brokers in government will choose profits over people every time. As socialists, we recognize that solidarity is the only thing that can save us. We're collecting resources and organizing mutual aid in our neighborhoods to help everyone get through this difficult time. Join us!

Solidarity. Not Charity.
http://714mutualaid.org/index.html
714 Mutual Aid is a collective of community organizers, teachers, students, youth, and workers coming together to support those most vulnerable during the COVID-19 health crisis. We can help with food or supply drop-off, transportation, and navigating social services; we hope to expand our programs as volunteer initiative grows.

North Orange County is home to immigrant communities, inter-generational households, non-English speakers, the poor, the working class, and other historically under-served and under-represented neighbors. It is we who face the greatest challenges at this time. Likewise, it is us who know best what we need and how to get it done.

If you are someone who can offer assistance, please do look through the "what are you in need of" column, to fulfill requests. Please check this document regularly and share it far and wide--the more people participating, the better!! In this unsure time of a new pandemic, with Angelenos struggling to respond to the public health crisis of COVID-19, it is critical that we come together as a community to love and protect each other.

We have created the COVID-19 Mutual Aid Network LA — comprised of different grassroots organizations, movements, organizers, and volunteers  who are committed to organizing material support in the LA community. This mutual aid network is growing every day and we invite all individuals and organizations to reach out, join us, and help build this network so we can support as many Angelenos as possible during this crisis in a way that our government and elected officials are failing to do. The two grassroots organizations who organized this initiative — and are the current organizing stewards — are POWER and Ground Game LA, along with their partners and an amazing collective of volunteer organizers.

We are providing grocery and supply deliveries, as well as community support services. If you need support, please fill out our INTAKE FORM.

Let’s come together as a community.

The COVID-19 pandemic has altered our daily lives, but we can come together to rise as a community.

LA Helping Hands matches higher-risk individuals with local volunteers to provide virtual companionship and grocery delivery. We also list local restaurants that are providing takeout and/or delivery services.

We can all do our part to help each other during this tough time. Please download and share this flyer to help us spread the word!
