Happening the day before BlackRock’s important annual shareholder meeting, we will hear how the world’s biggest investor continues to pour billions into the companies making the climate crisis worse.

We will also hear inspiring stories from the frontlines of the growing global campaign to change this, and explore innovative solutions BlackRock can take to live up to its own rhetoric on climate leadership and help transform capitalism.

Background:

Amidst shelter in place orders, companies are moving their Annual General Meetings (AGMs) for shareholders online. AGM’s used to be the one place in the year where communities could speak to senior executives and hold them accountable for the impacts of their businesses. This year community and Indigenous leaders can’t be there to speak directly to leadership and in many cases we’re seeing digital platforms used to silence or sideline questions.

That’s why we’re organizing this People’s AGM on BlackRock. Help us ensure that these voices, questions, and demands are heard loud and clear by BlackRock.
