Using a trauma-informed and decolonial lens, this workshop will explore how Non-Violent Communication fits within the context of systemic oppression and radical-relational change. This introductory workshop will provide a concrete framework for exploring and navigating conflict within your own life in addition to practical tools to deepen skills for empathy towards self and other.
Workshop agenda will include: Somatic grounding activity Understanding Non-Violent Communication with a decolonial framework Small group discussions Experiential activity to expand empathy and deepen somatic awareness Q&A This is an introductory level class. All participants are welcome, including those who are new to the NVC model.
