Digital Climate Strike against Rockwool

  • 1464

Rockwool’s proposed factory in Ranson, WV would be a climate disaster- the kind of facility that should no longer be built anywhere if we want to preserve our climate for future generations!
The plant would burn around 90 tons of coal and 1.6 million cubic feet of fracked gas per day. It would emit 156 thousand tons of harmful pollutants per year. The site is located just across the road from a Title 1 elementary school.
In spite of this, Rockwool, the Danish insulation manufacturer, claims to be a “Green” company.
Please join me and Eastern Panhandle Green Coalition every Friday as we protest this company from our homes to maintain social distances during the Corona Virus crisis. Just take a photo of yourself holding your anti-Rockwool sign and post it to this event page.
