Online Fridays For Future Earth Day Climate Strike

Join us ONLINE on Earth Day to be part of Fridays For Future’s next global climate strike! 📣🌎

As Floridians, we live in the state that will bear the biggest effects of the climate crisis. Help us send a message that we can do better in climate action!

Our Orlando Climate Strike is going ONLINE! In response to the #coronavirus, we will not be meeting in person on Earth Day April 22nd for our climate strike but we will continue with an online strike. We will be posting more updates soon to come but for now, here is our plan to still make a call for climate action during this global pandemic:

🌎Step One - Take a picture of yourself holding your climate strike sign. You can be alone or with friends and family while in quarantine.

🌎Step Two - Post on your social media on April 22nd using the #ClimateStrikeOnline and share why you believe we need more climate action in Florida and beyond.

📣 Let's take to Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, & more to still make a stand for our environment on Earth Day April 22nd!

History of FFF:
Swedish 16-year-old Greta Thunberg started Fridays For Future, a movement that has sparked students in 150 different countries to strike weekly, organizing by the tens, hundreds and even thousands to stand up to local leaders and demand for action to mitigate climate change.

Why are we striking?
Florida needs to be a nation-wide leader in climate action, but we’re falling short. Florida should be leaders in renewable energy, zero waste initiatives, protecting vulnerable ecosystems, environmental justice, and respect of indigenous land and sovereignty.
