Together For Future - Intergenerational #ClimateStrikeOnline

As a community, we have mobilized rapidly to protect our vulnerable family members and neighbours against Covid19, and the limited availability of ICU beds in our health service.

Our hearts are breaking for the 158+ Irish families who have lost loved ones in this emergency, and for those now sick or worried. And there may be a long, painful, tragic way to go yet, before we see the end of this Covid19 Crisis.
The strict StayAtHome measures everyone is taking to flatten the curve, protect front-line workers & save lives does seem to be having an impact. We must re-double these efforts.

And Solidarity also goes even further….

We can never go back to Business as Usual that leaves us open to further huge threats from the next wave of the Biodiversity Crisis, nor the Climate Crisis, the Homelessness Crisis, nor the Health Access crisis.
Our heroes and our departed friends and neighbours deserve better.
We must rebuild Better than Usual, not Business as Usual.

Our young people & families who have mobilized since last year against official Inaction on Climate Change & Biodiversity Loss also deserve better.
The underlying causes are the same - our old, unsustainable Business as Usual exploitation / over-extraction.
The solutions needed are the same - rebuilding Better sustainable communities and systems together.

Let's get this intergenerational solidarity started for rebuilding a better future after Covid19.
