Racism is Real: Images, Aspirations & Lies We Tell Our Children

  • 1808

Why don't White people know their history? Recently Attorney General Barr was asked if he cared about how history will characterize him. He responded, "History is written by the winners".

Who controls what we learn? How do they decide? Who decides what information our children can handle and what's important? Knowing accurate historical information ensures we do not make the same mistakes.

We've gathered a group of organizers and educators to explore these questions and raise others.

A historical lens can be used as a tool for social justice organizers, antiracism educators, teachers and other professionals (and individuals) to contextualize today's unrest with facts of the past.
