—————————
One hundred years ago, thousands of Africans from around the world came together at the First International Convention of the Negro People’s of the World, organized by Marcus Mosiah Garvey and the Universal Negro Improvement Assosociation (UNIA), in New York City.  The purpose of the convention was to do what had never been attempted before - Africans decreed their independence and set out a plan to ensure it by establishing an infrastructure that would carry out what was necessary to solidify their independence.  It was also at this convention the national flag of Africa was adopted - the red, black and green flag. 100 years later, the struggle for African liberation  continues, led by the African People’s Socialist Party. How do we build genuine Black Power in the 21st century? Tune in to the conference and find out.
