Climate Emergency Mobilization in Worcester, Mass

  • 3340

In October of last year, Worcester City Council voted to declare a climate emergency. Since then, we have not heard much about what Worcester plans to do with this declaration. Join this interactive mini-training brought to you by Rebecca Harris from The Climate Mobilization on what comes after passing a Climate Emergency Declaration, and how local governments can respond to the Climate Emergency.

After the Climate Emergency teach-in, Worcester representatives Councilor Sarai Rivera, State Representative David Lebouef, and Congressman Jim McGovern will join our call to discuss climate and coronavirus.

***This event is a part of our local Earth Day Live series. Each day, from April 22nd-24th, we will be going LIVE from 12-1pm and 7-8pm. We will be hosting virtual events ranging from teach-ins and speakers to concrete political actions that we will engage in together.
