Change Confederate Court to Liberty Lane
This is an invitation to support the renaming of Confederate Court in Dumfries, to “Liberty Lane.”
As you can see from our photo, the street sign has already been removed. (I do not know how or when), but it is a sign that the people have spoken, and I am here to amplify their voice, actions, and wishes. It’s time to change the name of Confederate Court!
As stated in my remarks during the July Council meeting, the Town Manager and I have been researching the matter for quite some time, and there is no time like the present for action.
