Over 500 people and 30 organizations joined our call to Governor Janet Mills to implement universal healthcare and protect the human rights of essential workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. We brought our demands to the Blaine House in a socially distanced protest. We all know the Covid-19 crisis has a disproportionate impact on poor and working class people, Black people, Indigenous people, immigrants, people of color, and others who have been pushed to the margins. Maine policy makers must protect the human rights of the most vulnerable people.
Join us as we bring these demands to our legislators and discuss how to implement policy change. This zoom meeting is a chance to share how we've been impacted by the Covid-19 crisis, build collective power, and hear from some of the partner organizations who endorsed our petition.
