George Floyd Memorial March On Washington

  • 2652

In loving memory of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless other victims of the racist and diabolical acts performed by the country's police force.

PLEASE WEAR A MASK OF ANY KIND. We don't want to endanger even more lives than the ones currently in danger.

Also, please note that, while we plan for this event to be relatively peaceful, we cannot guarantee that the actions of people will be as such. We encourage you to be loud, fearless, and to make an impression. Acts of violence, for legal reasons, are not condoned or promoted by this event.

We will meet outside the Lincoln Memorial. Depending on who and how many come there may be speeches to be had. If there are, they will start at 10:00 AM sharp. Otherwise, we will start walking. Updates will be posted to this page in time.

We will walk down the National Mall and stop at the Washington Monument. We will then go North up 15th St. NW and occupy The Ellipse, just south of the White House. If more space is needed we can also go to Lafayette Square, which is north of the White House. The whole walk will be around 1.5 miles and will take roughly 30 minutes. Make sure to bring water, food, and anything you need. Or, if possible, we encourage you to purchase take-out from SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY.

Depending on turnout we may need volunteers. More info on that to come.
