ACCESS Arab Health Summit: Advancing Health Equity for Women

For over twenty years, we at ACCESS have recognized the health disparities in our communities and have actively worked to challenge them by forging a more equitable health system for all through our biennial Arab Health Summit.

We are proud to announce that the ACCESS 9th Arab Health Summit will be held on November 8th to 10th, 2020 at The Henry Hotel in Dearborn, MI. The theme of our summit this year is: Advancing Health Equity for Women. Our goal is to address issues that impact women’s health locally and globally with a special focus on bridging the gender gap that exists within our homes, communities and healthcare settings.

Our one of a kind summit serves as a platform for researchers in the United States to connect with their counterparts in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and elsewhere for a unique opportunity to exchange best practices and create research relationships that can build a sustainable public health infrastructure globally.

Given the fact that Arab Americans are not a federally recognized minority and national level data on the health of our community is sparse, we make it a point to uplift that conversation at our summit and publish the proceedings of our convenings so that we can preserve any research on the Arab community and continue the work towards advocating for health equity for all.

We look forward to seeing you November 8-10!
